Abstract:
The implementation of the new Code of Criminal Procedure in Courts of General Jurisdiction in the Republic of Serbia since 1 October 2013 has made significant novelties. One of the most important is that investigations have started to run by the relevant public prosecutors. Without much preparation and many of them, and with no experience in the field of traffic accidents, have left the scenes to be most often carried out by members of the traffic police. The Judicial Academy, an institution for the training of personnel in the judiciary of the Republic of Serbia has recognized the importance of well done investigation as a precondition for quick and efficient implementation of investigations into accidents. Therefore, organized a joint training of public prosecutors and members of the traffic police regarding various aspects and problems related to crime scenes of accidents. The training was held in the period November 2015 - May 2017 at all headquarters of higher courts or police departments. In this paper we have presented some of the most important training results according to the data obtained through the evaluation papers of the Judicial Academy but also through the results obtained by completing the anonymous poll. According to the overall opinion of the training participants, this project justified the role and affirmed the need for the specialization of knowledge in the area of traffic safety on the roads by the public prosecutor's office, police officers and judges. The results obtained by analyzing the survey can be a good starting point for training of public prosecutors and judges along with members of the traffic police in Republika Srpska, as well as in other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
